The beginnings of Herkula date back to 1894.
At Herkula, we have invested our many years of existence into the perfection of our craft. The know-how we have accumulated over these years is unrivalled in the industry. The core business of Herkula consists of the development, production and distribution of special inks, varnishes and coating materials for the cable and plastic industries. We maintain two state-of-the-art R&D laboratories which work in close cooperation with our customers to develop customized solutions for individual requirements. Furthermore, Herkula brings new innovative products to the market in order to comply with evolving industry standards. We supply over 475 well-known industrial companies in 66 countries with cutting-edge products that meet the required high-quality standards. Herkula is proudly characterized by experience, innovation and expertise.
Development of new technologies
Herkula’s demand on ourselves is to set new standards in the cable and plastics industry. To meet these expectations, Herkula established a new laboratory in Aachen in 2018. This location focuses on the development of innovative products for various markets.

History
Herkula was founded in 1894. From the 1950`s onwards we have already been supplying solvent-based inks to the cable industry and in the 1980`s we began to produce UV reactive formulations. Since 2012 Herkula is owned by a foundation. In 2018 we established our second laboratory in Aachen (Germany) to increase the R&D capacity.
